24 Billion Euros Spent on Spanish Property in first 6 months of 2015.

€24 billion was spent on Spanish residential property in the first half of 2015, being 8% more than the same period last year, reveals the Ministry of Development for Spain. There has been 181,071 property transactions in Spain in the first half of 2015, an increase of 10%. Second-hand properties accounted for just over €20 million, 11.6% more than the same time last year. New build sales fell by 10.2% with a turnover of just over €3.3milion, according to the report. Property sales increased in nearly all of Spain’s seventeen regions; La Rioja recorded the most significant upward movement with a 30% increase, the Balearics with 25% and Cantabria 15.8% . The popular regions of Andalucia and Comunidad Valencia saw rises of 12.8% and 11.6% retrospectively. New figures show that this is the second six-monthly period in a row showing positive movements in the property market sector after a three year downward trend.
